Viewers will follow Carl across the world, from Ibiza to New York, Australia, London and countless glamorous places in between. Everyone knows Carl Cox the DJ, so we’ll leave that to his mix CDs and instead see him as he splits his time between a wealth of new projects: recording his album; developing the global Carl Cox empire; remixing for his favourite artists; and composing for cutting-edge commercials and smash-hit video games.  We will get inside Carl’s personal life, kicking back in rare moments off. Despite his busy schedule, he still makes time for his old friends, his family and, in particular, his mum. With such a heavy workload, across so many countries, there are endless projects to complete and challenges to face. Viewers will see how Carl deals with the pressures of his non-stop lifestyle and, ultimately, whether his plans will come together as deadlines loom ever closer…


This will be the ultimate Carl Cox DVD, presenting fans with an exclusive look behind the scenes of the DJ’s life, and the history of his career. The menu will present viewers with two main sections…

documentary:
Collated in this section of the DVD is archive footage of important moments in Carl’s career, from his time as a key figure on the M25/Oribital rave circuit, to playing live in front of 1.5 million people at the Berlin Love Parade. In addition we will include notable TV appearances, live performances and galleries of photos, reproductions of magazine articles and classic flyers and posters. This archive material will be sourced from Carl’s own personal collection, as well as those of family, friends, loyal fans, fellow DJs, producers, and promoters.

We see inside the life of world-class DJ Carl Cox, finding out why he’s a dance floor favourite across the globe and a regular high-ranker in the Top 100 DJ lists.

We follow his hectic schedule: jet-setting to play venues across the globe, joining him in the studio recording remixes and radio shows; we see him dealing with the everyday running his record label; and we go along with him to magazine and TV interviews. We will be hanging out with Carl and his other DJ friends, at parties and events, meeting his celebrity fans, and seeing some of the world coolest and most exclusive nightlife venues.

On the flipside, we get a rare glimpse of the personal life of the everyday Carl Cox. We see Carl at home in his house, relaxing, watching TV, washing his cars, walking the dog and shopping at his favourite stores. We meet fellow DJs, producers and promoters, and join him for dinner with friends and visits home to his family and proud parents in Barbados.

The climax of the package is a full live DJ set, recorded in High Definition across 6 cameras with Dolby Digital surround sound, of Carl Cox’s knock-out performance in Miami at the Ultra Festival on this years Winter Music Conference.

The first in-depth documentary profile of the superstar DJ and a live set from the height of summer  – the ultimate Paul Oakenfold package.

Viewers follow Paul across the world, from LA to London and countless glamorous places in between. Everyone knows Paul Oakenfold the DJ, so we’ll leave this to his mix CDs and, instead, see him as he splits his time between a wealth of new projects: (this is identical to the Carl Cox blurb – can you change it a wee bit?) recording his second album; developing the global Perfecto empire; scoring full-length film soundtracks after the success of Swordfish; remixing for his favourite artists; composing for cutting-edge commercials and smash-hit video games, as well as developing television shows with the likes of Ridley Scott.

This DVD provides you with an insight into Paul’s personal life: kicking back in rare moments off, as he catches up with the latest news from his beloved football team – Chelsea; using his trained chef skills to cook up a mouth-watering meal; and indulging his insatiable appetite for James Bond movies. Despite his busy schedule, he still makes time for his old friends, his family, and in particular, his mum.

With such a heavy workload, across so many countries, there are endless projects to complete and challenges to face. Viewers see how Paul deals with the pressures of his non-stop lifestyle and, ultimately, whether his plans will come together as deadlines loom ever closer…

We Love Homelands... (released in 2005)

In 2005, HiFi Entertainment released the complete guide to one of the most notorious clubbing events in the world - We Love…Homelands – the DVD and Book.  The two-part DVD charts that year’s event and the history of Homelands over the last seven years, taking in We Love… and Mean Fiddler’s partnership along the way. DVD Part One...The Present - In the first chapter of the DVD you’ll see the days events with footage of acts playing, alongside interviews with the artists and shots of the days happening’s in the 2005 may event. The documentary is fronted by MTV’s Dave Berry who takes a look backstage – visiting every arena on site and culminating in a series of live performances and interviews from the likes of The Streets, Beck, Mylo, Audio Bullys, Babyshambles, and many more.   

DVD Part Two...The Past - Cream co-founder Darren Hughes acts as a guide through the highlights of the brand’s history.  Filmed footage from around the world, photos, fliers, posters and magazine articles combine to create a complete archive of the seven years since Homelands’ inception, from its roots as a dance-focused festival to its current eclectic incarnation.  Stalwarts of the scene including Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed and Groove Armada all share their favourite stories from past sets – not only at the Matterley Estate festival, but also We Love’s global events including the legendary We Love…Sundays at Space in Ibiza.

THE BOOK - To round off the We Love… experience the DVD is presented in a wallet bound into the front cover of a hardback book.  The 36-pages of the book are filled with a wealth of We Love… and Homelands memorabilia that would be impossible to fit onto the DVD and includes a comprehensive timeline charting how between them, We Love… and Mean Fiddler have developed Homelands into one of the most successful and best-loved music events in the world.
